This U.S. History Differentiated Readers Theater script is based on the story of The Green Mountain Boys and the Battle of Bunker Hill. It tells the story of two important events in 1775 during the American Revolution. Ethan Allen and Benedict Arnold lead the Green Mountain Boys to capture Fort Ticonderoga, gaining valuable cannons without firing a shot. Later, Colonel William Prescott and his men defend Breed's Hill in the Battle of Bunker Hill. Although the British take the hill, the colonists show great bravery and inflict heavy losses on the British. These events boost morale and demonstrate the colonists' determination to fight for their freedom.
