Scenes 4-6: Underworld Rule

Hades claims Tartarus, declaring “I’ll crown its dark with might!” (Scene 4), and judges Sisyphus with “Roll your stone, Sisyphus—forever!” (Scene 5) alongside Minos’s tribunal. He sets Cerberus to guard, commanding “No soul slips my gloom—bite them back!” (Scene 6), as shades cower before his hound’s terror.

Scenes 7-9: Mortal Challenges

Orpheus pleads “Lord Hades, my strings weep for Eurydice!” (Scene 7), winning her with “Take her, but walk blind” from Hades. Heracles demands “Your dog’s mine today!” (Scene 8), wrestling Cerberus as Hades allows “Win, he’s yours ‘til dawn!” Hades then abducts Persephone, claiming “Your radiance gilds my gloom” (Scene 9), sparking Demeter’s distant wail.

Scenes 10-11: Queenship and Justice

Hades binds Persephone with “Those seeds lock you to my throne!” (Scene 10), her reluctant “I ate in hunger, Hades, not joy!” shaping their dual reign as Zeus decrees balance. He punishes Theseus and Pirithous, roaring “Wrath’s my gift, fools!” (Scene 11), chaining oath-breakers to warn Greece of his terror.

Scenes 12-13: Eternal Dominion

Hades quells a shade’s rebellion with “Order reigns here. Defy me at your peril!” (Scene 12), his scepter steadying the dead. He and Persephone affirm “Our legacy spans both worlds!” (Scene 13), Zeus saluting “Your dark steadies us, brother!” as their reign etches awe into Greece’s soul.
