This Osiris Judging the Dead Reader’s Theater Script of Egyptian Mythology explores the pivotal moment when a deceased soul enters the Hall of Maāt in the Duat to face final judgment. Osiris, enthroned as Lord of the Underworld, oversees the ritual alongside Anubis, Thoth, and attendant gods. The soul must recite its negative confessions—deeds not committed, wrongs avoided—and then undergo the weighing of its heart against the Feather of Truth. If the heart balances with the feather, the soul is declared justified, entering the blissful fields of Aaru. Should the heart tip with guilt, the monstrous Ammit waits to devour it, condemning the soul to oblivion.
