Perseus, Bellerophon & Orpheus – Slayers, Riders, and Dreamers Readers’ Theater Script unfolds a mythic tapestry across 12 captivating scenes. Perseus slays a deadly Gorgon and rescues a princess, Bellerophon tames a winged steed to conquer a fiery beast before falling to pride, and Orpheus braves death with song, only to lose his beloved to a fleeting glance. Their tales blend valor, hubris, and heartbreak across ancient Greece.

With 28 roles—bold Perseus, proud Bellerophon, mournful Orpheus, and divine allies—this dialogue-rich script pulses with epic drama for high school performers. Flexible casting fits any class: merge narrators for small groups or spread roles across scenes, ensuring every student wields a sword, rides the wind, or strums a fateful lyre in this heroic trilogy.

NOTE: While Orpheus is traditionally considered a mortal, he is sometimes included among demigods due to his divine mother, the Muse Calliope, and in some versions, his father is the god Apollo. His legendary talents and mythic journey to the Underworld place him in close thematic company with other demigod heroes, even if he lacks the heroic combat feats typically associated with them.
