This reader’s theater script for The Myth of Proserpina which explains the changing of the seasons. It is based on the THE METAMORPHOSES OF OVID and includes two differentiated versions for grade levels 6~8 and 9~12., each version is designed with age-appropriate language and Flesch-Kincaid reading scores. This story focuses on the themes of The Cycle of Life and Death, Fate and Free Will, Consequences, and Reconciliation.
This short script should take about 15~20 minutes to read depending on your classroom's level. NOTE: This script has more characters than some of the other Greek Mythology scripts thus making it less appropriate for small groups, stations or reading centers, however many of the parts have less than 5 lines and can be combined if necessary.
