Script Summary:
Esther, a Jewish queen in Persia, bravely approached King Ahasuerus without being called, risking her life. She invited the king and the king’s advisor, Haman, to a special banquet. Haman plotted to hang Mordecai, a Jew who refused to bow to him. Meanwhile, the king discovered Mordecai had once saved his life, so he honored Mordecai instead of letting Haman punish him. At Esther’s second banquet, she revealed Haman’s plan to destroy her people. Angered, the king ordered Haman hanged on his own gallows. Finally, Esther and Mordecai wrote a new law so the Jews could defend themselves, leading to joy and victory for Esther’s people.
