It begins in ancient Rome with the festival of Lupercalia, explains the life and martyrdom of Saint Valentine in the Roman province of Terni, shows a Roman couple expressing their love, and follows the holiday as it evolves in Medieval Europe and spreads to America. Finally, it shows how Valentine’s Day is celebrated today.
