Script Summary:

Scenes 1-3: Titan Beginnings

Iapetus and Clymene birth Prometheus, Atlas, and Epimetheus, with Prometheus boasting, “Cunning shapes my soul” (Scene 1). The Titanomachy splits them: Atlas rallies Titans, “I lead us to crush Zeus!” while Prometheus aids Zeus (Scene 2). Prometheus tricks Zeus with bones in fat, declaring, “Their spark shines bright” (Scene 3), favoring mortals.

Scenes 4-6: Rebellion and Punishment

Prometheus steals fire, shouting, “Fire’s mine now, Zeus!” to empower mankind (Scene 4). Zeus punishes Atlas, “Bear the sky now!” binding his strength to the heavens (Scene 5). Chains seize Prometheus, who defies, “My mind stays free!” as his torment begins (Scene 6).

Scenes 7-9: Suffering and Respite

An eagle tears Prometheus’s flesh, yet he vows, “Pain strengthens my resolve” (Scene 7). Heracles offers Atlas relief, “Take my place briefly,” for golden apples (Scene 8). Iapetus rots in Tartarus, lamenting, “Shadows choke me down here” (Scene 9), forgotten.

Scenes 10-12: Freedom and Legacy

Heracles frees Prometheus, “Your chains break now!” ending his agony (Scene 10). Prometheus advises mortals, “Fire lifts you higher,” while Atlas endures, “My might persists” (Scene 11). Mortals praise, “Prometheus gave us fire,” and Atlas’s burden, ensuring their “tale burns eternal” (Scene 12).
