Script Summary:
Scene 1: Poseidon or Aegeus fathers Theseus with Aethra; Theseus lifts a stone to claim his father’s sword and sandals.
Scene 2: Theseus slays bandits Sciron, Sinis, and Procrustes on his way to Athens, proving his cunning.
Scene 3: Theseus volunteers to face the Minotaur; Ariadne gives him a thread to navigate the labyrinth.
Scene 4: Theseus kills the Minotaur, abandons Ariadne to Dionysus on Naxos.
Scene 5: Theseus forgets to change his sails, causing Aegeus’s suicide, and becomes king of Athens.
Scene 6: Theseus conquers the Amazons, marries Phaedra, setting up future trouble.
Scene 7: Pelias sends Jason for the Golden Fleece; Jason gathers the Argonauts, including Hercules and Orpheus.
